Terms and conditions

These terms apply to the DhuJ app for Windows and to this website. DhuJ is made and owned by Saurav Vinodh Kumar, an individual developer in India ("we", "us"). By installing or using DhuJ you agree to these terms.

1. Who sells DhuJ

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's own buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

2. Plans and prices

  • Free: file-name search. Every new install also has all Pro features for the first 30 days.
  • Pro, yearly: US $9 per year (₹299 in India). It renews automatically each year until you cancel.
  • Pro, one-time: US $34 (₹1,499 in India), paid once, with no renewal.

Taxes may be added at checkout depending on your country. We may change prices for new purchases. A price change does not affect a one-time purchase already made, and for the yearly plan you will be told before a renewal at a new price.

3. Your licence

  • A Pro licence lets you use the Pro features of DhuJ on one PC. The licence is linked to that PC.
  • If you replace your PC, email us and we will help you move the licence.
  • You may not resell, rent or share your licence key, and you may not try to get around the licence checks.
  • DhuJ and its name, logo and code remain our property. You are buying a licence to use the app, not ownership of it.

4. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel the yearly plan at any time. It stays active until the end of the year you have paid for. You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of a payment. The details are in the refund policy.

5. Using DhuJ properly

  • Use DhuJ only on computers and files you are allowed to access.
  • The Send and Move features change where your files are. You are responsible for keeping backups of important files.
  • Do not use DhuJ to break the law or to harm other people.

6. Updates and beta software

We may release updates that add, change or remove features. Beta versions are still being tested and may contain faults.

7. No warranty

DhuJ is provided "as is". We work to make it reliable, but we do not promise that it will be free of faults or will suit every purpose. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be removed by agreement.

8. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profit or indirect losses that come from using DhuJ, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for DhuJ in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Privacy

The privacy policy explains what information DhuJ handles.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using DhuJ at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting the consumer protections of the country you live in.
